Celebrating our people, our life
Recycled fashion. Fish. Lawnmowers. Tattooing. Floristry. Food. Coffee. Fine dining. Death metal. Lawyers. Art. Design. Forty-four unique businesses. This is our ‘hood’. Our one square(ish) block.
Any 29-year-old will tell you, turning 30 makes you think. So for Ocean’s 30th anniversary celebrations, we had the thought of giving something back to our local community. We embarked on a project to celebrate the diversity and richness in our little corner of upper Cuba.
We think the small businesses here deserve to be celebrated. They are employers, contributors, and creators. They help make our community what it is.
This little block party you’re reading represents a snapshot of time in our ever changing city. Thanks to the remarkable photographic talent of Joseph Kelly, we are delighted to share with you One Square Block. We hope you enjoy it.
